A 27-year-old English woman is said to have been raped at the Oktoberfest.
The Munich police are looking for the unknown perpetrator, as announced on Friday.
The woman had stated that she was abused in a toilet in a marquee around eleven o'clock in the evening on Tuesday.
A stranger followed her into the cabin.
After she hit him in the face, he fled.
The police are now looking for an approximately 1.70 meter tall, strong man who is said to be around 40 years old.
He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
The number of registered sexual offenses has increased compared to the last Oktoberfest before the pandemic – from 25 to 31. At the halfway point of the Wiesn in the middle of this week, no rapes had been reported.
The emergency services told the Süddeutsche Zeitung that the abuse of the Englishwoman was the first registered rape this year.
However, only five percent of sex offenses are ever reported.
