The plaintiff's lawyer, Me Charlotte Plantin, announced on Wednesday that she would appeal the dismissal of the case. This decision was expected, having obtained in July 2023 the abandonment of his case.
The decision was made after the plaintiff accused him of raping her in October 2021, the Paris prosecutor's office said on Wednesday. The case was dismissed on Tuesday, and the appeal will be heard on April 4, 2024, the attorney general's office added. The appeal is expected to last at least a year, until the case is settled.
