The head of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Musallam, confirmed that the Sharjah International Narrator Forum engraved his name with distinction in the register of cultural and heritage events, noting that it has become an annual tradition that celebrates Arab narrators and guardians of memory.

The Chairman of the Higher Committee of the Sharjah International Narrator Forum added - during a press conference, to announce the agenda of the 22nd edition of the forum - that "the new session bears a distinctive slogan through which the sea tales are probed, and with its visitors and participants, it dives into the depths of this spacious world.

The forum will be organized over three days from the 21st to the 23rd of this month at the Expo Center Sharjah.

The director of the Institute's Arab Heritage Center, the general coordinator of the forum, Aisha Al-Hussan Al-Shamsi, said that the guest of honor for the forum this year will be the Emirati artist Ibrahim Juma'a Al-Haj Ibrahim, while the legal personality in the forum will be the Kuwaiti poet Mohammed Al-Fayez.

Aisha Al Shamsi added: “The Sharjah International Narrator Forum every year constitutes a rich and useful experience through which we get to know new narrators and global popular knowledge that reveals to us the organizing thread of humanity’s heritage that brings us together under one umbrella.

This year, the forum will attract more than 160 participants, representing a group of experts, researchers, storytellers and media professionals from 46 countries.

The exhibition accompanying the forum this year will celebrate the Emirati navigator and astronomer Ahmed bin Majid.

In its next session, the Sharjah International Narrator Forum will organize a range of intellectual and cultural activities, training workshops and interactive programs, including 13 workshops, three of which are proactive, and 10 will be held during the forum.

The intellectual sessions and specialized seminars will discuss a list of rich and diverse topics, with the participation of a group of researchers, experts and scholars, in addition to the Al-Rawi Café, Al-Multaqa Library, the Signatures and Releases Corner, in addition to a repertoire of 40 titles of books, publications and brochures.
