Recently, the Tianwen Police Station in Nan'an District, Chongqing received two consecutive reports of theft of the storefront.
After investigation, the police found that the modus operandi of the two cases was similar. They both directly smashed the glass door of the facade and then sneaked in to carry out the theft. According to preliminary estimates, the loss amounted to 43,000 yuan, and the stolen items were all kinds of high-end cigarettes.
The Nan'an Police continued to intensify their efforts to crack down on cases of financial infringement. After receiving the police, the Tiantian Police Station quickly carried out case investigation work.
The police who handled the case identified the suspects after on-the-spot visits.
Through careful control, Chen Mou, Liao Mou, who specifically carried out the theft, and Zhou Mou, who was in charge of Wangfeng's foothold, were arrested by the police and brought to justice.
According to the suspect's account, after the theft was carried out, they fled separately, and Zhou was responsible for selling the stolen goods, while Zhou found a cigarette hotel to "deliver the goods" and had forgotten the specific location.
During the process, the police asked Zhou to recall carefully, but there was no result.
Just when the case was deadlocked, a turning point suddenly appeared: when checking Zhou's mobile phone, a video allowed the police to find clues.
In the video, Zhou proudly held a stack of RMB obtained from the sale of stolen goods, accompanied by cheerful music.
Behind him is a rail transit station.
Through this detail, the police searched around the rail transit line in the video, and finally determined the location of the suspect's stolen goods, and recovered all the stolen cigarettes.
