The altar at the venue was decorated with 36 sunflower flowers with the words "Mourning", and each attendee offered flowers and prayed to the deceased.



President Hatta commented, "No matter how many years have passed since the incident, my regrets will not change. I hope to continue making works with the feelings of those who died."

Bereaved family "There is always sadness"

The father of the deceased animator Hiroyuki Takahashi (48 at the time) said in an interview, "I've always been sad, and sometimes I cry with regret."



Hiroyuki Takahashi has been in charge of a work called "accessory setting" that draws tools used by characters for many years in Kyoto Animation.



In his popular works "K-ON!" And "Sound! Euphonium," he was in charge of drawing musical instruments that required detailed drawing, and is known among fans as an indispensable part of Kyoto Animation's work. I did.

His father, Takahashi Takahashi, has been folding paper cranes every day for the past three years, thinking of Hiroyuki, and the number has exceeded 1,000.



Mr. Takazo said, "As long as you are alive, you cannot make a break. There is always sadness, and when you look at the pictures of Hiroyuki, you may want to talk to him or you may cry with regret."



He said, "I've always been wondering if there was something I could have prevented before the incident, and I'm more motivated to return to the state of the day before the incident."



Also, regarding the fact that the construction of a memorial monument is underway at the site of the site, Mr. Takazo said, "I wish I could have a place where I could join hands, and it is a proof of something that Hiroyuki had a dream. I hope it stays there. "
