Will Ukraine one day be a member of the European Union?
In any case, like Moldova, it has just acquired the status of candidate state.
A very symbolic decision by Parliament which comes almost four months after the invasion launched by the Russian army in Ukraine.
And this raises a lot of hope in kyiv.

Mykonos, the paradise of the richest
Turquoise water, all-white streets and lots of nightclubs!
The small
Greek island of Mykonos
, in the Cyclades archipelago, is famous for its postcard decor but especially since the 90s for being a place of festivities.
The wealthiest tourists benefit, but the island itself suffers.

A forgotten story that resurfaces
In northern
France
, Vignacourt was an important rear base during the First World War for Allied soldiers.
Something quite rare, for the time, a couple from the town, Louis and Antoinette Thuillier had a plate camera.
Civilians and soldiers marched in front of their objective.
Then these plates were forgotten before being rediscovered about ten years ago.
An artistic exhibition is currently being organised, in the garden of the farm-museum.

The Irish exception
What if the tensions between the European Union and the
United Kingdom
around
Ireland
did not date from Brexit, but from an almost thousand-year-old misunderstanding?
It is in any case, the thesis of the Irish writer and historian, Fergal Tobin.
His latest book is called “
The Irish Difference
” and is published by Atlantic books.
This is
Marie Billon's book review.
