[Explanation] The Daxing'anling Mountains in Inner Mongolia, where everything is quiet but the birds are singing, has become lively. With the comprehensive start of the ecological protection and restoration comprehensive management project in the Daxing'anling forest area in Inner Mongolia in 2022, the local forestry company has dispatched more than 1,800 people nearby to carry out "spring making" "Work.
It is planned to complete the expeditionary afforestation task of 135,000 mu in 30 days.
At present, the afforestation work of 10 ecological function zones in the Daxinganling forest area is in full swing.

In order to seize the favorable opportunity of afforestation and save time for round trips, Li Feng and his teammates set up simple tents in the wild, and they all had food and lodging on the mountain.

Manpower and machinery must cooperate with soil preparation. In some places, machinery cannot be completed, so manpower must be used to plan the pit.
We get up at four o'clock every day, and we go to work at six o'clock. When we come back to here at noon, we have to bring rice, steamed buns and some pickles, to deal with it.
[Explanation] It is understood that around the Erguna River Basin, more than 400,000 mu of degraded forests are planned to be restored in the Daxing'anling Forest Region of Inner Mongolia in 2022.
Most of these woodlands that need to be restored are degraded forests including birch trees. In order to optimize the tree species structure and improve the stand quality, a lot of effort has been made in the selection and planting of the "spring planting" campaign.

This year, we estimate that there will be about 22,000 Siberian Korean pine trees going up the mountain. At this stage, we have completed the planting task of more than 15,000 trees. During the restoration of degraded forests, we will improve the stand structure of our existing sites. , so that the Siberian Korean pine can take root and grow better in the Han Forestry Bureau of Nengwuer Banner.
[Explanation] The key state-owned forest areas in the Daxing'anling Mountains of Inner Mongolia are the largest and best-preserved state-owned forest areas in China. The ecological function area has a total area of 106,700 square kilometers. It is an important part of the northern forest belt of Eurasia and an important part of the country. It is an ecological security barrier and a strategic base for cultivating forest resources.
[Explanation] It is understood that the planning period of the comprehensive management project for ecological protection and restoration in the Erguna River Basin is 4 years, and the Daxing'anling Forest Area in Inner Mongolia will complete the task of afforestation and greening of 2.93 million mu.
By taking measures such as enclosure, management and protection, restoration of degraded forests, and artificial grass planting, the ecological quality has been improved, the contiguous state-owned forest areas have been protected and restored, and the ecological security barriers of cold temperate coniferous forests and grasslands have been consolidated.
