In 2021, France 4 had put an end to its program "A season at the zoo", which had followed for 14 seasons the daily life of the animals, the keepers and the veterinarians of the zoo of La Flèche, located in the Sarthe.

The show is reborn from its ashes on YouTube, on the initiative of zoo teams and with the same production company.

Viewers who visited the La Flèche zoo every evening can rejoice: the program

Une saison au zoo

is back.

The program which follows the daily life of veterinarians, keepers and animals at the Sarthe zoo ended in 2021, after 14 years of good and loyal service on the France 4 channel. The program is about to be reborn, but not on France 4, or even on television.

It is on YouTube that the adventures of

A Season at the Zoo

will continue.

A program relaunched by the zoo of La Flèche

It was the zoo of La Flèche which decided to take over the show on YouTube, by financing it itself.

The teams and the concept remain the same: to film the daily life of the keepers and the animals.

The show will last just a little shorter: a quarter of an hour per episode, instead of 25 minutes.

The seasons will also be shortened: they will have 25 episodes, compared to 56 previously.

The first episode of the YouTube version of

Une saison au

zoo, still produced by Banijay Productions,

was posted on Tuesday.

It counted Wednesday morning more than 14,600 views.

On France 4, the program was watched by 450,000 viewers on average each evening.
