Wan Park Kochi, a zoo in Kochi City, decorates the park with tulips every year around this time to let people feel the arrival of spring. A seven-tiered tower with approximately 3,000 tulips blooming in tiers was set up in the plaza inside Kotoshimo Park.
There are four varieties of tulips, including ''Ballerina'', characterized by its orange color, and ''Strong Gold'', which is yellow. The theme song for the TV drama series ''Ranman'' set in Kocho was played at the event.
