In the spring, Coldplay began their world tour "Music of the Spheres" in connection with their album release of the same name.

In connection with the announcement of the tour, the band announced that they have a goal to reduce their carbon dioxide emissions by 50 percent compared to their previous tour in 2016 and 2017.

One of the green initiatives is that the band places electrically generated pedal bikes so that the audience can help give energy to the concert.

Other green initiatives that the band announces that they will use are solar cells, renewable diesel, rechargeable batteries and kinetic energy.

"We will also install kinetic dance floors around some arenas so that the fans' dancing can be converted into energy and help provide power for the concert," the band writes in a press release.

The band is especially known for its colorful aesthetics during concerts with magnificent lighting effects.

Among other things, all the audience has previously received so-called xylo bands, special bracelets with LEDs and radio frequency receivers that can change color and flash in time with the songs being played.

Also laser-like headlights, light shows, movies played on stage, and fireworks.
