Study: Humans were the main cause of changes in sea surface temperature. Summer warming becoming more pronounced than winter warming, study says. The study was motivated by previous work by a working group led by researcher Benjamin Santer, who has worked in the field of human climate fingerprints for more than 30 years. The results refute claims that recent temperature changes are natural, or due to the sun or internal cycles.
