However, the reasons for this shutdown have not been disclosed.
“There will be no recovery / continuation”, can we read on the homepage of Zone-Telechargement.
In the press release, the officials indicate that they are making a clean sweep.
They thus closed “all old and new domains” linked to the “Zone Telechargement site (including ForumZT)”.
The database will be "entirely" destroyed and "the cms (content management system) will not be distributed", they specify.
However, a database that was still operational would have allowed another team to pick up the slack, according to

Zone-Telechargement already closed in 2016
Zone-Telechargement had already been closed in 2016. The pirate site was accused by Sacem, the authors' society, and Alpa (the Association for the fight against audiovisual piracy) of being responsible for more than 75 million euros of economic damage.
The gendarmerie had launched a vast operation in November leading to several arrests.
Subsequently, replicas of the pirate site had appeared, including the one that was recently interrupted.
Tirexo, for its part, announced the news with a closed theater curtain and the mention "The End" on a film called "To Hell".
