The Maison de la Gendarmerie has opened an online kitty to support the 6-year-old son of the gendarmerie captain, Nadia M., who ended her life on Wednesday in Montpellier (Hérault).
"The amount collected will be managed through the victim's parents," says the foundation.
Nadia M., who was in charge of regional communication for the Rhône gendarmerie, before being assigned to the south of France, set herself on fire on Wednesday in her car, in the district of Celleneuve.
Her vital prognosis was engaged when she was transported to the burns department of the Montpellier University Hospital.
“I would like to express my sadness at this terrible tragedy which touches us infinitely.
Thoughts for his family and the gendarmerie who are in mourning today, ”wrote, on Twitter, the prefect of Hérault, Hugues Moutouh.
“We mourn his absence.
Rest in peace, captain, ”reacted, for its part, the Rhône gendarmerie on Facebook.
