The Hong Kong SAR government announced that the age of vaccination against the new crown of Kexing will be lowered to 3 years old from February 15

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced today (February 13) that the minimum age to receive the Sinovac vaccine will be lowered from February 15 to 3 years old.

The Sinovac vaccine is currently available to children 5 years old or older, while the Fubitai vaccine will also be available for children 5 to 11 years old from February 16.

Beginning on February 15, parents or guardians of children aged 3 to 4 can make an appointment for their children to be vaccinated with Sinovac vaccines at community vaccination centers or general outpatient clinics designated by the Hospital Authority, and accompany them to vaccinate in person.

Reservation service starts at 8:00 on the 15th.

A government spokesman said the government attaches great importance to children being vaccinated against COVID-19.

Under the threat of highly transmissible mutant strains, eligible citizens, young and old, should be vaccinated as soon as possible to protect themselves.
