Aichi Prefecture announced that it has been confirmed that 5827 new people have been infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture.
The number of infected people announced in a day is the second highest ever, following the record high of 6191 on the 2nd.
A total of 186,978 people have been confirmed to be infected in Aichi Prefecture.
In addition, Aichi Prefecture, Nagoya City, and Ichinomiya City announced that 11 infected people, including the elderly, have died.
The number of infected people who died in Aichi Prefecture is 1,223.
