Macron and the West united in their response in the event of Russian "aggression"

Emmanuel Macron spoke from Berlin during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

The Head of State affirmed that "in the event of aggression, the response will be there and the cost will be very high" for Russia, specifying that there was a "very great unity" between France and the Germany to call for de-escalation.

Paris will also host this Wednesday a meeting of high-ranking advisers from Germany, Russia and Ukraine.

Emmanuel Macron will then have a telephone interview with Vladimir Putin on Friday.

Strike this Wednesday at EDF to protest against government measures

EDF will know this Wednesday a social movement.

Employees of the group will be on strike against the request of the State-shareholder to sell more electricity at low prices to its competitors in order to contain the electricity bill of households and businesses.

Faced with soaring energy prices, the government has indeed drawn up an arsenal of measures to contain bills, and honor its promise to limit the increase in regulated electricity prices to 4% in 2022, in a sensitive context a few weeks before the presidential election.

Alizé Cornet holds a set before losing his quarter-final
