“I can’t live without you.” A mother dies of grief over her son, days after his death

A state of great sadness prevailed in the village of Al-Daljamoun, affiliated to the Kafr El-Zayat Center in the Egyptian Gharbia Governorate, today, Wednesday;

After a mother died a few days after the death of her young son, she grieved for him, after he had been in intensive care for 69 days, due to a collision on the Tanta-Alexandria road.

The people of the village of Al-Daljamoun confirmed that the village was surprised by the death of Laila Rehab, in his fifties, a few days after the death of her son Ahmed, and that the news came like a thunderbolt to all the members of the village, noting that the mother was closely related, and refused to live after the death of her young son. And I followed him with sad days.

Shukri Mansour, a resident of al-Daljamoun village, said that 22-year-old Ahmed Jamal Rehab died in a collision, when his car overturned, while he was on his way to the airport to receive one of his relatives, and he was transferred to a hospital to receive medical care. He fell into a coma and remained in intensive care for 69 days until his death in mid-December.

The people of the village added that the mother, during the funeral of her son, to his final resting place in the village cemetery;

She repeated the phrase "I can't live without you", and she fell unconscious, and when she was transferred to the hospital, she was diagnosed with cancer, and her health condition deteriorated day after day, as she refused to live and joined her son, and she refused to continue her life alone.

Today, thousands of residents of the village of Al-Daljamoun in the district of Kafr El-Zayat center attended the funeral of the mother in a solemn funeral scene, where the women were dressed in black, mourning the death of the mother, who had good neighbourhood, good qualities, religiosity and good manners.

The death of the mother and her son caused a state of grief among the parents, and on social media;
