have for the first time reacted to accusations of rape and sexual assault against their colleague Chris Noth, the famous "Mr. Big".

"We are deeply sad to learn of the allegations against Chris Noth," they wrote on social media Monday night.

“We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences.

We know it must be very difficult to do and we salute them for it, ”they added.

Painful memories

Chris Noth was initially charged with rape and assault by two women whose accounts appeared on December 16 in

One of them says she was raped by Chris Noth, 67, today, in 2004 in the actor's apartment in West Hollywood.

The other said he went on a date with him in New York in 2015. He then invited her to his apartment, where she claims she was assaulted.

A third woman then reported to the

of a sexual assault in 2010. The actor categorically denied the charges and questioned when to go public.

The first two accusers explained that the publicity surrounding the cover of
