An informed source said that the Egyptian security forces arrested this morning, Friday morning, film producer Ishaq Ibrahim, in Nasr City.

The source explained, according to "Cairo 24", that Ibrahim, accused in 30 judicial rulings, checks and trust receipts, was confronted with the judgments and admitted, and legal measures were taken against him.

A number of citizens had filed complaints accusing Ibrahim and his brothers of defrauding citizens by announcing the sale and reservation of chalets at discounted prices in the Ras Sidr area, with the delivery being two years after the date of signing the contract, which prompted dozens of citizens to reserve housing units in the company owned by them.

The reports indicated that the citizens affected by the film producer and his brothers have regularly paid their installments for several years, but they have not received their units, which is considered a monument to the citizens after collecting millions of pounds, not fulfilling the obligations signed in the contract and evading delivery.

Nearly 100 citizens submitted complaints to the Attorney General accusing Ishaq Ibrahim of defrauding them, after they held vigils in front of the Attorney General’s office last April, and demanded the return of the sums seized or handing over the units they agreed upon and the cessation of showing any cinematic works produced by the company. Owned by the film producer until their money back.
