A temporary tour deck was completed near Shurijo Castle in Okinawa, which was burnt down two years ago.

The completed deck is a temporary tour deck with a total length of about 140 meters and a width of about 3 meters that extends from the Shurijo Castle's Hoshinmon to the Kitatono side.

In preparation for the reconstruction of Shurijo Castle, which was burnt down on October 31, the current passage for tours will not be available for the construction of a warehouse for storing timber in a plaza called Una, so it will be temporarily constructed. Construction of the deck has been underway since August and was completed on the 25th.

On the wall between the deck and the construction site for safety, photos and images explaining the efforts to rebuild Shurijo Castle are posted.

The deck is installed at a height of about 2 meters from the garden and overlooks the cityscape on the north side of Shuri.

Makoto Kakuyama, director of the Shuri branch office of the National Okinawa Memorial Park Office, which is working on the reconstruction of Shurijo Castle, said, "The construction of the main hall will start next year. Shurijo Castle changes every day, so please come and see it." I was talking.

The temporary tour deck will be available from the 27th.
