George Kordahi, Lebanon's Minister of Information

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati on Friday appointed media figure George Kordahi as Minister of Information in his government.

Qardahi is a Lebanese journalist with a BA in political science, but his fame came from being a journalist.

He presented several programs on major Arab stations that achieved great popularity, the most prominent of which was "Who Will Win a Million", and Al-Moshameh Karim.

George Fouad Qardahi was born in Faytroun, Keserwan District, Lebanon, on May 1, 1950, and there he spent his childhood years.

Journalist George Kordahi began his life in Lebanon in the village of Feytroun in the Keserwan district of Habl Lebanon, where he studied political science and law at the Lebanese University, but his orientation was different, as he began media work during his university studies, and obtained many certificates in applied courses and diplomas in Written, audio and print media from the Louvre Institute in France.

Kordahi is fluent in English, Italian, and French, in addition to Arabic, which gives him a special interest in studying the culture of Arabic literature.

George Kordahi's media career is illustrious. During his university studies, he began working with the newspaper "Lisan al-Hal" in 1970, then moved to Lebanon TV in 1973, to work as a presenter for news and political programs.

He then moved to Radio Monte Carlo, where he worked as a producer and presenter for political radio programmes, and continued to publish news for about 12 years between 1979 - 1991.

After that, George Kordahi moved to work as first editorial secretary and then editor-in-chief, and thus achieved wide fame and great success.

He continued for two years working as editor-in-chief of Radio Monte Carlo and then moved to Radio "MBC.FM" in London in 1994.

The real breakthrough of the journalist George Kordahi was in the year 2000 when he moved to television and started his most famous Arab program "Who Will Win the Million", a program for competitions and general culture, which lasted for three years and gained unparalleled fame.
