According to RIA Novosti news, Fahim Dashti, a member of the "National Resistance Front", an anti-Taliban force occupying Panjshir Province, tweeted on September 3 that 450 Taliban soldiers died in the fighting that took place on the evening of the 2nd. Another 130 Taliban soldiers were captured.
Dashti posted on Twitter on the 3rd that 8,000 Taliban soldiers and 350 (military) off-road vehicles were repelled after a 4-hour battle between the Taliban and the Panjshir Province anti-Tower forces on the evening of September 2.
The Taliban suffered heavy losses, 450 Taliban soldiers died and 130 Taliban soldiers were captured.
