Everything has obviously not been said about Amy Winehouse yet.

Following Asif Kapadia's documentary

Amy

, and the one produced by the singer's parents,

Reclaiming Amy

, which aired on the BBC in July this year for the 10th anniversary of her death, the life of the singer of

Tears Dry On Their Own

always fascinates.

Halcyon Studios announces the preparation of a biopic inspired by Daphne Barak's book,

Saving Amy

, published in 2010.

To make this work, the professional interviewer spent six months filming the North London singer and then worked with the artist and her family for the last three years of Amy Winehouse's life.

The biopic will therefore be based on the “40 hours of rush, exclusive photos and notes” taken by Daphne Barak, as the

Hollywood Reporter

relays

.

A matter of morality

The musical work of Amy Winehouse, who died at the age of 27 of an alcohol overdose in 2011, seems to have some unreleased material in store as well.

The singer's father, Mitch, has hinted that new titles may emerge.

“We found a few songs but it's complicated because the CDs are damaged, but we were told that we could save something.

It will probably not be as good as

Back To Black

, but what I heard from these clips that we were able to save is good, ”he told the BBC last July.

According to Amy Winehouse's dad, this could give fans a feel for her daughter's artistic development, before she rose to fame.

“I want Amy's fans to hear these things, so they can understand where she started from and where she ended up,” he added.

If these unreleased tracks are damaged, it is because of Amy Winehouse's label manager, David Joseph, who chose to destroy the star's demos upon his death to avoid any exploitation of his work.

"It was the most moral thing to do," he explained to

Billboard

in 2015. A wise decision for some, "silly" according to Mitch Winehouse.
