American artist and Nobel laureate Bob Dylan was accused of sexual assault.

The lawsuit was filed by a Connecticut resident, known in the press by the initials JC (JC).

She claims that the musician repeatedly raped her over the course of six weeks between April and May 1965.

At that time, the plaintiff was 12 years old, and the artist was 23-24.

According to The Guardian, the statement said that Dylan "used his status as a musician to" process "JC, gain her trust and control over her as part of his plan to molest and sexually abuse her.

According to the complaint, Dylan gave the victim alcohol and drugs and "made an emotional bond with her" in order to "liberate her to commit sexual assault on her."

Some of the alleged incidents are said to have occurred in the artist's suite at the famous Chelsea Hotel in New York.

JC also claims that Dylan threatened her with physical harm, beat her, kept her locked up and deliberately brought her to a nervous breakdown.

She continues to experience the consequences of the traumatic experience to this day.

Now JC seeks compensation for damages, the amount of which must be determined by a jury.

“The lawsuit speaks for itself.

We will prove the validity of all statements in court.

The lawsuit was filed after a serious investigation and careful fact-finding, and there is no doubt that she was with him at the Chelsea Hotel, JC's attorney Daniel Isaacs told CNN.

A spokesman for Bob Dylan, in turn, said that "the statement (of the crime. -

) 56 years ago is not true and will be vigorously challenged."

Bob Dylan (Robert Allen Zimmerman) began performing in the late 1950s.

He soon signed a contract with Columbia Records, and the albums brought him his first fame.

Throughout his career, the artist has released 39 discs.

His work encompasses many musical styles, including rock and roll, folk and blues.

Bob Dylan has been nominated for a Grammy 38 times and has won ten statuettes.

In 2016, the artist received the Nobel Prize in Literature for "creating new poetic expressions in the great American songwriting tradition."

JC's statement was filed on Friday, ahead of the expiration of a two-year period for US citizens who were victims of childhood sexual abuse to go to court.

The claim could be filed by all victims, regardless of how long ago the crime was committed.

Over the past time, the court has received other resonant complaints.

So, the actor Oratio Sansa was accused of showing attention to a 15-year-old fan about 20 years ago, giving her alcoholic drinks, and later, when the girl was 17, touched her against her will.

Also, the artist allegedly involved the girl in frank correspondence and asked her to send photographs of sexual content.

The plaintiff claims that this caused her to become depressed.

One day she required hospitalization.

The girl also stated that Oratio Sans sent her messages of apology in 2019, where he said that he had changed and expressed a desire to make amends.

The artist's lawyer denied all charges and said that before going to court, the girl demanded $ 7.5 million from his client.

Another lawsuit was filed against Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty by American Jennifer Hough.

In 1994, when Hough was 16, she met Petty at a bus stop in Queens, New York.

Hough said that Petty approached her with a knife and took her to a nearby house, where he attacked her.

The young man, who was then also 15-16 years old, was detained.

He pleaded guilty to attempted rape and was arrested for four and a half years.

Now Jennifer Hough accuses Minaj and Petty of harassment and intimidation: according to her, the couple repeatedly tried to convince her to make a statement denying the fact of the crime.

Hough also stated that for this she was offered cash rewards and help with a move to Los Angeles.

The lawsuit states that the woman has not been working since May 2020 due to severe depression, paranoia, constant travel, harassment and threats from Minaj, Petty and their associates. The prosecutor demands the artists to reimburse her for the losses she incurred.
