"Double Butterfly Fan" tells the story of a young girl Lin Mengqing and scholar Chen Zilin who had been in love since childhood.
Sudden changes forced Lin Mengqing's parents to make new choices about their daughter's marriage, so they concealed the truth from the facts and married their daughter Yi to the local squire, Wu Yushan.
The destinies of Lin Mengqing, Chen Zilin, and Wu Yushan are therefore entangled together, allowing them to face their most painful and unbearable life situations, making moral tests and emotional choices.

Fujian opera is also known as Fuzhou opera, one of the local operas in Fujian.
