At 11:26 on July 25, the Guangdong Provincial Maritime Search and Rescue Center received a call from the Huizhou Maritime Emergency Search and Rescue Center and the duty room of the Huizhou Maritime Safety Administration, saying that there is an offshore construction platform in the sea area outside the port of Huidong County, Huizhou City. After receiving the alarm, the Guangdong Provincial Maritime Search and Rescue Center immediately initiated an emergency response, requesting the Huizhou Maritime Emergency Search and Rescue Center to verify the relevant conditions of the danger, coordinate rescue efforts to rescue people in distress, and immediately coordinate the dispatch of ships to the scene to participate in the rescue.
The Guangdong Provincial Maritime Search and Rescue Center also issued navigation warnings, coordinated past ships to participate in rescue operations; coordinated the South China Sea Rescue Bureau to dispatch rescue helicopters for rescue, and coordinated the South China Sea Forecast Center to make drift predictions for missing persons.
At present, the platform has been stabilized, and nearly 30 ships and rescue helicopters are participating in search and rescue operations.
