Guangdong promotes the construction of a strong transportation province with high quality. 2023 marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, and Huizhou were identified as the first batch of pilot cities for the construction. The total mileage of the province open to traffic has reached 11,481 kilometers, ranking first in the country for 10 consecutive years. 49 national and provincial highways were completed and opened to traffic, with approximately 1,051 kilometers of new and expanded mileage throughout the year.
