While the new head of government Ariel Henry settles in his chair, the city of Cap Haitien in the north of the country is preparing to host the national funeral of assassinated President Jovenel Moïse.

From this Wednesday, July 21, radio stations are invited to play only occasional music.

The sale of alcohol is prohibited, nightclubs are closed.

The photo of the late president is on display in front of the Town Hall and condolence registers are open to the public.

Thursday, July 22, a so-called patriotic mass will be sung in the cathedral of Cap Haitien, followed by a march and a vigil.

Before the national funeral on Friday July 23, in the village of SOS Village, in a private residence of the Moïse family.
