Sichuan Huanglong Nature Reserve used 63 infrared cameras in the monitoring work of Sichuan Golden Monkeys, and took a large number of photos and videos of Sichuan Golden Monkey activities.

Recently, through the analysis of these photos and videos, it has been counted that there is 1 population of Sichuan golden monkey in this area, with more than 180.

The population consists of the monkey king, a small number of young male monkeys, female monkeys and young monkeys.

Its population structure is reasonable and its number continues to grow.

  It is understood that the Sichuan golden monkey is a national first-class protected animal, a rare and endangered animal unique to China, mainly distributed in Sichuan, Gansu, Shaanxi and Hubei.

Since the start of monitoring in the Huanglong Nature Reserve in Sichuan in 2013, the population of Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkeys has steadily increased from more than 50 initially recorded to more than 180 this year. In the Huanglong Nature Reserve, the Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkeys are mainly distributed in the Longdishui area.
