Halsey is expecting the birth of her first child, from her union with screenwriter Alev Aydin, for this summer.
And while all her relatives, friends and fans are eager to cover the unborn baby with gifts, the artist wanted to make a gesture for the parents-to-be who are much more in need than she is.
"I realized how expensive it is to start a family and that many parents are probably struggling to get the things they need," she explained in a video posted on Instagram, before announcing that she was organizing a “universal and global baby shower” to support families in difficulty.
A nice gesture
Halsey has teamed up with Babylist to come up with a list of products she has chosen for the birth of her baby.
But the artist and the merchant site have above all set up a donation campaign in favor of the Baby2baby association through an initiative called The Great Group Gift.
Thanks to donations, the association will be able to help future parents by providing them with basic products for their newborn.
Halsey and Babylist have already donated $ 100,000.
