Hyogo Prefecture announced on the 29th that it was newly confirmed that 97 people were infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture.
This is the third time this month that the number of infected people announced in the prefecture in one day has fallen below 100, following the 28th.
The total number of infected people in the prefecture was 39,577.
Hyogo Prefecture also announced on the 29th that nine people infected with the new coronavirus have been confirmed dead.
The number of people who died from infection in the prefecture was 1,167.
