According to the website of the Department of Emergency Management of Anhui Province, at 16:03 on May 22, the construction site of the first bid section of the purification pipe network project of the Chengbei Second Sewage Treatment Plant in Chengguan Town, Huoqiu County, Lu'an City was completed. Three people were trapped in a collapse accident during pipe work.
Huoqiu County immediately organized relevant departments and forces to launch rescue operations. Three people were rescued one after another, but none of them had vital signs.
The cause of the accident and the aftermath disposal work is in progress.
