Wildest Story: First Issue of New Marvel Comics Line Published

On Wednesday, May 5th, the first installment of the new Marvel comic line based on the Avengers series, Heroes Reborn, was released.

The author was Jason Aaron, who previously worked, in particular, on comics about the X-Men, Thor, Black Panther and other Avengers and Deadpool.

The plot of the line takes place after the events described in the comics of the Avengers series.

The superhero universe is cracked.

In the new reality, Tony Stark did not become Iron Man, Wakanda is considered a myth, and Captain America was never found in the ice.

In this reality, there are no "Avengers" and never existed, and the world is protected by the Supreme Squadron.

Only one Blade remembers that the reality was different before.

Heroes Reborn is expected to re-discover the stories of characters already familiar to comic book fans and lay the foundation for the unpredictable development of the universe in the future.

Jason Aaron stated that the new lineup is "possibly the wildest story" he has ever written, and noted that the new world does not correspond to the past ideas of the Marvel universe.

“In this project, I had the opportunity to give myself free rein, to fully release my inner child brought up on comics.

I can confidently say that together with a staff of incredibly gifted creative people, we have created a world that is completely unlike any version of the Marvel Universe that you have seen before.

It grew out of my Avengers series, but it got bigger and bigger over time.

And the more detailed the world of the Heroes Reborn line became, the more joy and delight it caused me.

This project really fueled in my soul an even greater love for comics, "- said the writer.

Heroes Reborn illustrator Ed McGuinness stressed that new versions of famous characters will appear in the comics, and each of them will have their own storyline.

“I have a lot of fun designing and drawing new versions of the beloved characters, designed by Jason Aaron.

They all pursue a specific plot goal, so from a creative point of view, working on them is extremely interesting.

Perhaps Aaron is the craziest scientist ever! ”McGuinness says.

As part of Heroes Reborn, seven comics have been announced, four of them will be released during May.

The first part, already on sale, tells about a new reality in which the plot of the entire series unfolds.

In the center of the plot of the second comic will be the powerful Hyperion.

He will face his strongest enemies - Ultron, Annihilus, the Immortal Hulk and Victor von Doom.

In the third part, the superhero Blur, the fastest of mortals, must escape from the Silver Witch, and in the fourth, Marvel comics fans will face the battle of Doctor Spectrum with the famous bounty hunter Rocket.

The remaining three comics are expected to be published in June.

Two will be dedicated to Princess Zarda and Nighthawk.

In the final installment, Supreme Squadron will face a mysterious new team of the Avengers.

Previously, images were published on the network that give an idea of ​​the heroes of the new comics.

According to the author of the GamesRadar + portal George Marston, some of the characters presented in Heroes Reborn will combine several Marvel heroes.

For example, one image shows a character whose armor simultaneously resembles the robes of Doctor Doom and Juggernaut. On the other, you can see a cross between the Scarlet Witch and the Enchantress from Asgard. The rest of the published announcements depict Thanos with at least five Mandarin rings, the Hulk, whose appearance is also noticeably different from the usual, and other heroes.

Heroes Reborn is a reboot of the eponymous line of comics from the 1990s.

At the time, the entire industry was going through rough times, and Marvel Comics tried to rekindle interest in the Avengers and Fantastic Four franchises by plunging the characters into a different time frame.

However, that comic book series did not become popular.

The project was not helped by the participation of artist Rob Lifefield, who at that time was considered a pioneer in his field.

However, despite the fact that the line was not loved by fans of the franchises and was released for only a year, it influenced further Marvel projects and the comic book industry in general.

Interestingly, some of the characters expected to appear in Heroes Reborn 2021 (including Peter Parker and Thanos) were not present in the comics of the original line, from which it can be concluded that the new story will go beyond the prototype.
