They answered the call of the association A l'ère libre which defends, according to its site, "the rights and freedoms of our children".

Sunday afternoon, more than 600 people gathered in Le Bel-Air park in Quimperlé (Finistère) to show their refusal to wear the mask and be vaccinated.

Two controversial figures had responded to the association's invitation with the presence in the assistance of the deputy for Bas-Rhin Martine Wonner, who has been illustrated by controversial positions since the start of the health crisis, and the lawyer Carlo Alberto Brusa, figure of the conspiracy movement.

Most of the demonstrators obviously did not wear masks and did not respect social distancing rules during the rally, which took place peacefully and ended around 5 p.m.

Seeing that the barrier gestures were not respected, the authorities, who had authorized the demonstration, saw red.

"The prefect of Finistère deplores that, contrary to the commitment of the organizers, a large part of the demonstrators did not respect the barrier gestures (wearing of the mask and physical distancing", indicates the prefecture of Finistère in a press release.

The prefect is considering taking legal action against the organizers

Present on the spot, the gendarmes therefore proceeded to nearly 140 verbalizations for non-wearing of the mask, lack of derogatory certificate or inconvenient parking.

"The prefect of Finistère reserves the right to take legal action against the organizers," adds the prefecture.

This gathering of anti-masks and anti-vaccines also aroused the anger of Michaël Quernez, mayor of Quimperlé, who condemned "with the greatest firmness the behavior of those present, those who contributed to the organization and by their deliberate action endangering the life of others ”.
