By its appearance and color, we could confuse the acai berry with a blueberry.

But in the Amazon, in the Pará region, açaí is more than just a fruit.

Its incredible nutritional virtues, its intense taste and its commercial value make the Amazonian berry a real “black gold” for the traditional Ribeirinha communities who live by the rivers and cultivate the fruit.
