The Chiba District Court sentenced a 23-year-old man, who was heavily insured in Futtsu City, Chiba Prefecture, to life imprisonment for his adoptive father, who was accused of murdering him by plunging him into the sea. I handed it over.

Defendant Yasuo Shishikura (50), an interior designer in Yachimata City, Chiba Prefecture, killed Takuya Shishikura (23 at the time), who had been adopted at a port in Futtsu City, by plunging him into the sea with an acquaintance in January. As a result of being charged with murder.



In the lay judge trial so far, the defendant pleaded not guilty, saying, "I have not colluded with the murderer," while the prosecution said, "I planned to kill to get insurance money." I was seeking imprisonment.



In a ruling on the 2nd, Judge Kenji Koike of the Chiba District Court dismissed the defendant's allegation, saying that "the defendant's explanation is incomprehensible and cannot be trusted."



He pointed out that he would take heavy responsibility as a mastermind for a vicious crime that sacrificed the victim's life in order to obtain insurance money, and sentenced him to life imprisonment.



Of the other two indicted over the case, one has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for aiding in murder.
