The decision was finalized that the amount of compensation for the two classmates was about 4 million yen.

The parents of a second-year junior high school boy who committed suicide in Otsu City in 2011 sought compensation from his classmates and parents at the time, saying that bullying was the cause of the suicide.



The Otsu District Court of the first instance admitted that the cause of the suicide was bullying due to violence, and ordered compensation of more than 37 million yen for the two classmates.



The Osaka High Court of the second instance also admitted that the cause of the student's suicide was bullying, and said that "it should be taken into consideration that the parents could not support the student mentally", and the amount of compensation for the two classmates was about It was set at 4 million yen.



Although the parents who had reduced the amount of compensation had appealed, Judge Hiroshi Koike of the Supreme Court's First Small Court decided to dismiss by the 25th, and the judgment of the second trial was finalized.



Initially, Otsu City was also sued in this case, but six years ago, the city acknowledged responsibility, apologized, and settled.
