Actor Chae Min-seo, who was handed over to the trial on charges of causing an accident while driving backwards while drunk, was sentenced to probation from imprisonment even at the appeal trial.
The Seoul Central District Court sentenced Chae Min-seo, who was handed over to trial on charges such as drunk driving under the Road Traffic Act, to eight months in prison and two years probation.
He also ordered 40 hours of compliance driving classes.
The judge explained that it took into account the fact that the accused was reflecting on the crime and that the blood alcohol concentration was not very high due to the hangover driving.
Chae Min-seo was handed over to trial on charges of hitting another car while driving in reverse on a one-way street in Gangnam, Seoul while drunk at around 6 in the morning of March 2019.
Chae Min-seo has a history of penalizing drunk driving three times, including being fined for drunk driving in 2012 and 2015.
Chae Min-seo, who debuted in the 2002 movie'Champion', appeared in'Wig','Sweet Lie', and'Vegetarian'.
