A quarantine inspection confirmed that 10 crew members of a cargo ship scheduled to enter Kobe Port had been infected with the new coronavirus.

The infection was confirmed at a quarantine station in a domestic port since the outbreak of a cruise ship in February last year.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, 10 men in their 20s to 50s who are foreign nationals have been confirmed to be infected.

Ten of them were cargo ship sailors who were scheduled to leave Hong Kong on the 13th of this month, unload in Shenzhen, southern China, and then enter Kobe Port.

However, on the 18th, the cargo ship side contacted the quarantine station saying that "some people have a fever on board," and as a result of inspecting all the crew members, 10 people were confirmed to be infected.

Ten are currently in a sanatorium set up by the quarantine station, and the 13 negative sailors are still on board.

The new coronavirus infection was confirmed at the quarantine stations in domestic ports since the outbreak was discovered on the cruise ship "Diamond Princess" in February last year.
