Donald Trump deprived of social networks.

The US president's Facebook and Instagram accounts are blocked indefinitely and for “at least the next two weeks,” Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced on Thursday in the aftermath of the violence on Capitol Hill.

"We believe that allowing the president to continue to use our services during this period poses too great risks", affirmed Mark Zuckerberg on his account Facebook, after a temporary suspension announced Wednesday evening.

Blocked at least until he left the White House

"Therefore, we are extending the blocking of his Facebook and Instagram accounts for an indefinite period and for at least the next two weeks until the peaceful transition of power is completed," he said.

Will the decision be followed by Twitter?

On Wednesday, the social network deleted tweets from Donald Trump, blocked his account for twelve hours and threatened him with permanent suspension.

These were unprecedented measures decided in the light of the violence of his supporters who prevented the certification of the results of the presidential election.
