    Despite their hardships at the time and the closure of their establishments, they wish to give of their time to help those most in need.

They may have their morale in the socks at the moment with the prolonged closure of their establishments, the Breton chefs remain nonetheless united.

They will prove it this Saturday noon by participating in the Christmas tables operation organized by Les bouffons de la cuisine, an association launched in 2017 by the starred chef Michel Trama.

After Brest, Loudéac and Auray, they will move into a food truck parked on the Esplanade de Gaulle in Rennes to distribute a festive meal to 150 people benefiting from Restos du cœur or Secours Populaire.

"We could not organize large tables like in previous years in view of the context but we still wanted to maintain the event", underlines Patrick Jeffroy, vice-president of the association and former two-star chef of the Hotel. from Carantec (Finistère).

"Give pleasure to people"

It is therefore in a take-out formula that meals will be served, but always with the same quality standards.

We will find on the menu a squash velouté with a peanut crumble, carrot braised beef with spiced rice and a chocolate and salted butter caramel tart.

A real chef's meal to bring a little joy to needy people during this holiday season.

"Our job is to give pleasure to people and we will therefore continue to do so", assures Jean-Marie Baudic, who is piloting the Rennes stage.

Chef of the gourmet restaurant Le ciel de Rennes, he did not have much trouble convincing some of his colleagues to participate in this solidarity action, including the starred chef Julien Lemarié or the pastry chef Laurent Le Daniel.

“Even if we are all in the rough, we remain united and we take our time for a good cause,” he emphasizes.
