Nagasaki City and Sasebo City announced that a total of seven people have been confirmed to be newly infected with the new coronavirus.
Six new cases of infection were confirmed, including employees of a disability welfare service office whose age and gender are not disclosed in Sasebo City, and a man in his 50s who lives in Nagasaki City and whose occupation is not disclosed.
Infection was confirmed in 328 people in Nagasaki Prefecture, excluding the crew of the cruise ship moored at Nagasaki Port.
Two people involved in the U.S. Navy Sasebo base confirmed infection
In addition, the US Navy Sasebo Base in Sasebo City announced that it was newly confirmed that two people involved in the base had been infected with the new coronavirus by the 14th.
This brings the number of people involved in the US Navy Sasebo base to 19 confirmed to be infected.
