[Explanation] Scanning code travel, cashless payment, online government services... In today's rapid development of intelligence, how to get the elderly to catch the "digital express" has become an urgent social problem to be solved.

On December 2, dozens of elderly people were learning the basic operation of smart phones under the teacher's explanation in the public welfare class of the University for the Elderly in Xinsheng Community, Xiaojiahe Street, Chengdu, Sichuan.

[Explanation] In the corner of the class, 66-year-old Aunt Mu is listening to the class while operating her mobile phone. What she wants to "conquer" today is how to take a video and send it to Moments.

Aunt Mu said that through these few smart phone trainings, she bid farewell to the single-function elderly phones and learned to shop online and send WeChat.

The reason that made her determined to learn smart phones was an experience when her grandson was sick.

Once my grandson was ill and I needed to register because others said (to) register on the phone. At that time, I was very anxious. I went to find someone to teach me how to register on the phone. (number).

After I got down, I decided that I had to learn how to register on my mobile phone.

When I heard the smart phone (course) teaching, I asked (the teacher) to teach me to register on the phone, and it took me a few times to learn.

[Explanation] Making short videos, shopping online, chatting and publishing love packages... 64-year-old Aunt Tang is already an excellent student in class.

Talking about the reasons why she signed up to study, Aunt Tang said excitedly that people should live to grow old and learn, and don't be willing to be eliminated by the times just because they are getting older.

I have learned a lot through the training of smartphones (courses) in schools (Universities for the Elderly).

For example, when I go shopping in the supermarket, I used to have a long queue, but now I use my mobile phone to scan the code by myself, and my elderly life is rich and colorful.

[Explanation] In class, Cheng Wei, president of Xiaojiahe University for the Elderly, answered various questions about the operation of mobile phones by the elderly students in plain and easy-to-understand language, and repeatedly gave instructions.

Cheng Wei introduced that since September this year, Xiaojiahe University for the Elderly has launched 15 smart phone training courses, and more than 450 elderly people have participated.

The content of the course mainly covers daily mobile phone usage scenarios such as online shopping, ordering meals, health code presentation, and software downloading.

We must make them feel happy, the joy of using this, because smart phones provide us with such a quick and happy way, and this is also more embodied (for the elderly).

Therefore, in the course of teaching, the way we adopt is such a feeling of experience.

When we are in class, there is another most important content, which is to tell our elderly friends how to use the Internet safely.

When surfing the Internet, what information we can see and what information we cannot receive, such as asking you to enter your bank card password, (notify) that you have won a prize.

Generally, in each class, almost one-third of the time is spent on safety issues.

[Explanation] Zhao Yan, Party Secretary of Xinsheng Community, Xiaojiahe Street, said that in the future, the community will increase the intensity of such training, enter the community and courtyard in the form of free public welfare courses, and continue to bring more freshness and practicality to the elderly. The knowledge of using smart phones allows more elderly people to keep up with the times.

In the early stage, we also solicited the needs and opinions of residents, and the elderly also put forward some suggestions in this regard to our communities and streets.

We want to use this training course to enable the elderly to keep up with the trend of the times and to enjoy the various conveniences brought by the current digital society.

From the perspective of residents, they get a lot of convenience, and the efficiency of our community management work has also been greatly improved.
