Due to an episode of fine particle pollution, which is currently raging in the Lyon area, the authorities have decided to introduce differentiated traffic from Tuesday at 5 a.m.

Vehicles authorized to travel without restriction are those which display a Crit'Air class “zero engine emission” sticker, class 1, class 2 or class 3. The scope includes the municipalities of Lyon, Villeurbanne and Caluire-et -Cuire, with the exception of the northern ring road, the ex A7 (M7) and ex A6 (M6) metropolitan routes, the tunnel under Fourvière.

The streets giving access to the relay parks of Vaise, Mermoz, Gorge-de-Loup are not affected by these measures.

Numerous exemptions

An exemption is also in place for police, gendarmerie, customs, fire or rescue vehicles, public service vehicles, exceptional convoys, armed forces vehicles, vehicles for medical, paramedical and veterinary professions as well as carpooling vehicles (at least three people on board).

The cars of employees whose hours of service and end of service are not covered by the operation of public transport (subject to a daily certificate signed by the employer indicating the staggered hours) are also authorized to travel.

A temporary reduction in speed of 20 km / h is introduced on all the main roads of the department where the authorized speed limit is greater than or equal to 90. The axes at 80 km / h are limited to 70.
