Road travel will be difficult from Friday towards Alpine ski resorts and in the Burgundy-Franche-Comté and Grand-Est regions. Bison Futé anticipates particularly intense traffic difficulties between the northern borders and on the routes serving winter sports resorts in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
The routes towards the mountain ranges will be very congested throughout the day, particularly the A10, A6, A40 and A43 motorways. To avoid traffic jams, it is best to avoid several motorways, namely the A31 motorway between France and Luxembourg.
