In Moscow, at the age of 84, the theater director, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Roman Viktyuk died. At the end of October, he was hospitalized with a coronavirus infection. Viktyuk was born in 1936 in Lvov. In 1956, he graduated from the acting department of GITIS, but later preferred to directing to the career of an artist. Viktyuk has staged more than a hundred performances in domestic and foreign theaters. His production of "The Handmaids" enjoyed particular success.
