He decided to react.

Two and a half months after being the target of offensive tags, a young farmer from Finistère had the hate messages he had been the victim of covered by an art fresco by artist Heol, a well-known street-art specialist reindeer.

The message “Nourishing our humanity” was accompanied by a large painting affixed to a wall of his farm located in Plonévez-Porzay, in Finistère.

On August 28, Guillaume Divanach discovered two tags on the wall of his farm.

"Breeding = Nazism" and "Auschwitz never closed" had been spray painted on a wall of his farm.

The young farmer had lodged a complaint, believing that "anti-speciesists" were responsible for these offensive messages.

On Friday, the breeder unveiled a large mural of urban art "stronger than their hatred", according to him.

“We don't spit on the hand that feeds us,” says the Rennes artist Heol.

The #antispecists call us Nazis when we are just doing our job as a breeder.

We love our animals and we get up every morning to feed you.

Thanks to @HeolArt for this beautiful fresco stronger than their hatred.

Through his message, the breeder hopes to fight against “agribashing” and alert the population to intrusions and “harassment” to which farmers are victims.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, nearly 15,000 attacks against farmers were recorded in from January to October 2019, or "two every hour".

A figure up 1.5% over one year which led to the establishment of the Demeter cell, a gendarmerie cell fighting against intrusions into farms.
