The Dubai Comedy Festival concluded its activities for this year after four days full of laughter and fun in several areas of Dubai.

The festival achieved great success through the shows that met with great turnout in all regions and throughout the days of the festival, which hosted a group of international comedian talents, such as Jad Al-Maleh, Michael Wolf, Mo Amer, Ali Al-Sayed, Nimer and Veer Das, Gaurav Kapoor and Mina Lision.

The festival demonstrated Dubai's ability to host a large public event, and to ensure the safety and health of the attendees and participants under the current circumstances.

The festival's organizers were quick to announce its return in May 2021, in a larger and more entertaining version than before, to become a distinguished annual event on the list of Dubai's live entertainment events.

Ahmed Al Khaja, Executive Director of the Dubai Festivals and Retail Corporation, said: “The success achieved by the Dubai Comedy Festival this year reflects the spirit of cooperation and teamwork that Dubai exhibits in overcoming challenges and turning them into distinct opportunities.”

Al Khaja added: “We have confirmed once again through this event the emirate’s leadership in resuming the events sector, while continuing to adhere to the precautionary measures and preventive measures.”

"Our commitment to teamwork to provide a safe and appropriate environment for organizing events contributes to consolidating Dubai's position as a global destination for events and attracting international shows, especially comic ones," he added.
