The Tokyo Metropolitan Government announced on the 5th that it has confirmed that 66 new people are infected with the new coronavirus in Tokyo based on preliminary figures as of 3:00 pm.
It is the first time that the number of confirmed infections per day has dropped below 100 since the 28th of last month, seven days ago.
This brings the total number of confirmed infections in Tokyo to 26,550.
