In 2016, Tone Schunnesson debuted with the novel Tripprapporter.

Now she has written a book about loneliness, lies and money where the former influencer and reality profile Bibbs has to raise SEK 100,000 in one week.

In an interview with the host Jessika Gedin in the literature program Babel, Tone Schunnesson talks about how the book came to be and why she writes about money as a motive.

- The thought of money explodes in my brain.

This novel really came out of nowhere for me because I needed money.

So I was like, how the hell am I going to get it?

I wrote 20 pages in one week and sent it to my publisher and was like, "this is my new novel".

“I wanted to do something of my own obsession”

The author's poor finances inspired the plot of Days, Days, Days.

The bar-scratched protagonist Bibbs uses all sorts of tricks to reach his goal, which results in complicated relationships and lies.

- Bibbs is also in that everything is some kind of economy, everything is a transaction.

It's sex, it's friendship, it's love.

So she has, like this view of money, everything, so I probably just wanted to do something of my own obsession in some way, try to drive out the demon, says Tone Schunnesson.

So - without ruined Schunnesson, no novel.

The author believes that the role of money in life is worth taking advantage of.

- The money and the need or the need for money can also be creative.

Maybe if we talk about it, good things can come out of it.
